The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will on Saturday, October 3, 2026, elect nine new officers to occupy the positions of its National Executives.
The vetting Committee that was chaired by a former Sanitation and Water Resources Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has since cleared 47 viable aspirants for 9 available national executive office positions in tomorrow’s National Delegates Conference.
THE ELECTIONS WILL TAKE PLACE ACROSS 31 POLLING STATIONS AT THE Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, where 7,121 delegates are expected to vote.

• National Chairman: 4 contestants
1. John Boadu, a former General Secretary.
2. Paul Awintami Afoko, a former National Chairman.
3. Sammy Crabbe, a former Greater Accra Regional Chairman.
4. Boakye Agyarko, a former Energy Minister and 2023 Presidential aspirant.
• General Secretary: 4 contestants
1. Justin Frimpong Kodua, Incumbent.
2. Eugene Boakye Antwi, former Subin MP.
3. Sylvester Tetteh, former MP, Ngleshie-Amanfro.
4. Dr. Charles Dwamena, National Treasurer.

The other positions on the ballot are National Treasurer, National Organizer and National Youth Organizer, National Nasara Organizer and National Communications Officer.
All these contestants stand the chance of becoming officers in any of the 9 slots.
It is important to note that, the NPP is poised on reorganizing its electoral structure for victory 2028.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was voted for on January 31, 2026, as the Party’s Flagbearer for the 2028 Presidential race.
The frenzy I Kumasi is overwhelming as all 47 aspirants have arrived ahead of tomorrow’s exercise.
Most of the 7,121 voting delegates have successfully arrived and sales of Party paraphernalia is booming as traders say they wish same exercise would be organized always.
